Former Governor of Komi Vyacheslav Gaiser did not testify against the top managers of Renova, the former CEO of T Plus, Boris Weinzicher and the managing director of Renova Group of Companies, Evgeny Olkhovik, as part of the case of bribes to the leadership of the republic. This was stated by lawyer Gaiser Vyacheslav Leontyev, reports Prime .
“Lie. My client was not interrogated at all in this criminal case, ”Leontyev explained.
Earlier on September 7, Forbes, citing unnamed sources, said that Gaiser testified to the defendants in the case of bribes as part of the transaction with the investigation - in exchange for mitigating the sentence up to 15 years in prison. The interlocutors of the magazine indicated that the ex-head of the Komi also testified to the former general director of Vimpelkom (Beeline) Mikhail Slobodin.
Slobodin on September 7 was put on the federal wanted list. On the same day, Olkhovik was arrested by the court of Komi for two months; The meeting on the measure of suppression of Weinzikher has not yet ended.
Vainzicher and Olkhovik were detained on September 5. The investigation suspects them of giving bribes for a total amount of about 800 million rubles to the former Komi leadership so that Renov’s structures get the opportunity to set the most profitable tariffs for themselves.
The case of bribes in Komi has been continuing since September 2015. Gaiser is accused of creating a criminal community, as well as fraud and laundering.
