
The new president of the company “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” (GSS), which produces the Sukhoi Superjet-100 liner, was appointed Camille Gainutdinov. This was reported in a press release from the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
In this post, Gainutdinov will be replaced by Ilya Tarasenko, who, in turn, will take the position of general director of another subsidiary of the UAC, the Russian aircraft -building corporation MiG. The former general director of Miga Sergey Korotkov will become the chairman of the board of directors of the corporation.
Gainutdinov previously held the post of director for sales and business development Boeing. In the American aircraft manufacturer, the new head of the GSS has been working since 2005; In particular, he was responsible in Moscow for managing a team for sales and business development in the countries of the former USSR and in the Middle East, as well as for interaction with state and industry structures.
SSJ-100 is a Russian near-seamage airliner created by the GSS. The assembly of the first such aircraft began in 2006, and the first test took place in 2008. The first Superjet was delivered to the customer in the spring of 2011.
