President Vladimir Putin, by his decree, dismissed Pavel Astakhov from the post of Commissioner for the Rights of the Child. This is stated in the press service of the Kremlin. As noted in the text of the decree, the children's Ombudsman left his post "of his own free will."

The head of the Association of Organizations in defense of the family, the head of the Penza Executive Committee of the ONF Anna Kuznetsova, was appointed the new authorized person.

Information about the likely resignation of Astakhov has appeared in the media since the end of June. The Ombudsman himself then stated that he filed an application "after a very serious conversation" with the president. It was argued that Astakhov would leave the post after vacation, but on July 11 it became known that the Ombudsman was going to work after the vacation.

The fact that Astakhov would leave his post on September 9, on Friday, RBC reported , referring to sources in the presidential administration. According to the sources, the decision to dismiss Astakhov was made at the end of June, but then he was simply sent on vacation until September 8 - the 50th anniversary of the Ombudsman accounts for this date.

Anna Kuznetsova is 34 years old. In 2010, she created a Foundation for the support of the family, motherhood and childhood "Pokrov", and in 2015 - the Association of Organizations in Protection of the Family. In 2016, its "Pokrov" became one of the operators of presidential grants to support NGOs, he must distribute 420 million rubles for a year. Kuznetsova is the wife of a priest, the mother of six children.

According to the source of RBC in the Kremlin, Kuznetsova has good contacts with the Public Chamber and the presidential administration. Kuznetsova - a member of the ONF, leads the executive committee of the Penza branch of the front. In the spring, Kuznetsova won the primaries of United Russia in the Penza region and fell into the pre -election list of the party in the Duma elections.
