In the north of Spain, the passenger train got off the rails

In the north of Spain, a passenger train got off the rails. According to Voz de Galicia, at least two people died, somewhat injured.

The accident occurred near the station in the municipality of Porrigno in Galicia, next to the Portuguese border. There were 60 people on the train. The emergency occurred after the first car came off the rails.

As a result of the accident, two cars completely turned over. The bulk of the passengers was able to get out of the train on their own. The railway message between the Lawredo-Walos and Porrino stations is broken.

In July 2013, at least 77 people became victims of the railway accident in the north-west of Spain, 143 were injured. The passenger train got off the rails near the railway station in the city of Santiago de Compostel.

All 13 wagons turned over, the penultimate was completely destroyed. In total, 218 passengers were on the train, not counting the driver and service staff. The route where the disaster occurred connects the Spanish capital with the city of Ferrol. The cause of the accident was a significant excess of speed.
