The vast majority of Russians do not consider the United States an ally in the fight against terrorism

Only 22% of Russians consider the United States and the Russian Federation allies in the fight against terrorism, the Levada Center survey showed, the information of which is quoted by Interfax . At the same time, 79% called the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who supported the US struggle with international terrorism after the events of September 11, 2001. The survey was published by the anniversary of the attack, but it coincided with the conclusion of a large -scale transaction on Syria between Russia and the USA.

Sociologists note: over the past 10 years, the share of those who consider the Russian Federation and the USA allies in the struggle against international terrorism has decreased by more than one and a half years - from 39% in 2006 to the current 22%.

At the same time, from 35% to 47%, the number of those who are sure that Russia and the United States has increased during this time.

With the fact that both of them are true, 18% of the survey participants agree. 13% could not decide on the answer. At the same time, 72% of respondents agreed that large -scale terrorist attacks relate not only to the countries where they occurred, but of all of humanity.

45% of the respondents supported the opinion that, "subjected to attacks from terrorists, the USA and their allies receive" deserved "for their aggressive policy in Latin America, Afghanistan, Iraq and other countries." 40% announced the opposite. They found it difficult to answer 15%.

The opinions of the survey participants on the possibility of committing terrorist attacks in Russia were divided almost equally: 39% believes in their probability, 44% does not believe. At the same time, 63% of respondents fear that they themselves or their relatives may be victims of the attack. Two -thirds of the respondents indicate as the probable their organizer the Islamic State (IG, the organization is prohibited in Russia), 28% are militants from the regions of the North Caucasus, Chechnya.

Every second respondent (54%) called sufficient measures taken in Russia due to the threat of terrorist acts by IS. Haughten (25%) consider them insufficient, 5% said that nothing is being done in this regard, 2% appreciated the measures as excessive.

On September 11, 2001, a group of suicide bombers attacked the United States. The militants captured four aircraft: two of them crashed into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York, another collapsed onto the Pentagon building in Washington, and the fourth fell in the state of Pennsylvania, without reaching the goal. In total, the number of victims of terrorist attacks exceeded 3 thousand people.
