
The Central Electoral Commission does not support the lawsuit of the Civil Platform party on the withdrawal from the elections to the State Duma of the federal list of the Parnas party, said the Chairman of the CEC Ella Pamfilova. The anonymous source of TASS in the presidential administration explained the claim with the desire of the GP to attract attention. Later on Saturday, the GP announced that she was recalling a statement of claim.
The Pampilova’s words are quoted by the press service of the CEC: “The Central Election Commission does not support the requirement of the Civil Platform party on the withdrawal of the federal list of the Parnas party from the elections. The corresponding position of the Central Election Commission will be presented on Monday in the Supreme Court.”
Pamfilova emphasized that the commission will do everything possible within the framework of the powers granted to her, so that all the parties that were registered by the CEC are safely reached by September 18, so that our citizens have a full right to make a choice on the entire political spectrum. ”
The “Civil Platform” on the eve appealed to the Supreme Court with a request to cancel the registration of the federal list of the Parnas party in connection with the statements that allegedly contain signs of extremist activity on the debate.
The GP saw signs of extremism in the statements of three leaders of the Parnassus list. Mikhail Kasyanov was blamed for the fact that he allegedly accused President Vladimir Putin of assistance to President of Syria Bashar Assad in the use of chemical weapons against the civilian population.
The second candidate in the federal list of Parnassus Andrei Zubov was suspected of extremism for allegedly stated that the power in Russia was seized by "the heirs of the Bolsheviks -" Putinists ".
Another candidate of Parnassus, Vyacheslav Maltsev, the “civilian platform” accuses calls for extremist activity for the use of statements to “shake Russia”, as well as “shaking” - according to the GP, these are calls for the forcibly overthrow of the constitutional system.
