Edward Nazarov died

On September 11, at the age of 74, an animator, director and artist Eduard Nazarov died in Moscow.

Eduard Vasilievich Nazarov was born in 1941 in Moscow, in 1971 he graduated from the Moscow Higher Art and Industry School, in 1959-2002 he worked at the Uniuzmultfilm studio, first a spectator, then an assistant to a winner artist, and since 1965 he was an artist of Fedor Khitruk, worked. With him over the cartoons “Vacations of Boniface” (1965), “Winnie the Pooh” (1969) and others.

He made his debut as the director in 1973 by the cartoon “Equilibrium of Fear”, was also the director, author of the script and artist-hosting film “Hippo” (1975), “Princess and cannibal” (1977), “Hunting” (1979), “The Journey of the Ant” (1983), “About Sidorova Vova” (1985), Martynko (1987). The most popular work of Eduard Nazarov was the film “Once upon a time” (1982) based on the Ukrainian folk tale “Sirko”.

In addition, Eduard Nazarov was engaged in teaching, voiced cartoons, was a co -author and the host of several television programs, was engaged in the design of the magazines “Quantum”, “Funny Pictures”, “Murzilka”, “Chemistry and Life” and others.

In 1993, together with Andrei Khrzhanovsky, Fedor Khitruk and Yuri Norshtein, Eduard Nazarov founded the Moscow School School of animators, “Shar”, in 1987-1999 he was vice-president of the International Association of Animation Cinema, since 1991, together with the Ukrainian director David Cherkasy, he was president The head of the animation studio "Pilot", the largest project of which was the cycle of cartoons based on the fairy tales of the peoples of Russia "Mountain of Semlodes."
