Samsung said that the cause of the explosions of the Galaxy Note 7 batteries, which led to fires, is a production defect of the batteries. It is reported by Bloomberg .
According to preliminary data, due to the error in the production of plates inside the batteries, too much pressure was too much on them, which caused excessive heat production.
At the same time, the company said that in order to establish the exact cause of damage to the batteries, it is necessary to conduct a more thorough analysis.
The official sales of Galaxy Note 7 began on August 19. After that, reports about explosions of smartphone batteries began to appear in the media and social networks. In particular, such cases were recorded in Australia, China and South Korea.
On September 2, Samsung announced the suspension of Galaxy Note 7 sales. On September 10, the company called on smartphone owners to immediately turn them off and hand them over to the store. Replacing smartphones with safe models should begin on September 19.
