The lawyer of the former governor Vadim Prokhorov told Interfax about the fate of the animal. "The turtle lived in an aquarium in a residence in which Nikita Belykh lived when he was a governor. After the seizure of his property from the residence, the Kirovites took her to educate her, fortunately, the security arrest did not spread to her," the defender said.
The lawyer specified that the animal was taken by the former colleagues of the whites. “At present, she is fine, we are following her fate,” Prokhorov noted.
According to him, among those seized in the residence of the Governor of things were also gilded watches donated by white leadership of the Chechen Republic. “The residence has still been sealed, the new head of the region has not entered there,” the lawyer added.
Earlier, as part of the investigation of the case against the White, the court imposed a security arrest on the land plot belonging to the ex-governor in the suburbs. The decision was appealed by the protection of the former head of the Kirov region, who categorically denies his guilt.
Nikita Belykh was detained on June 24 in Moscow. According to the investigation, the Kirov governor personally and through the intermediary received bribes on an especially large amount of 400 thousand euros for performing actions in favor of the bribe giver and controlled by him "Novovyatsky Ski Plant" and LLC "Forestry Management Company".
On June 25, the Basmanny Court of Moscow authorized the arrest of the White until August 24, not satisfying the request for another extent to the suppression in the form of house arrest in the Moscow region or pledge.
