Experiments of art in the museum. "
The Processes program is conceived in the hope that art and theoretical and practical knowledge incorporated into it can make the memory of political repressions productive, stimulate social discussion on this topic, and, possibly, become the basis for the permanent artistic and theoretical platform.
The project is divided into several topics (certificate, hearing, observation, landscape and monument). Until May of next year, work dedicated to the media analysis of the documentary image (Mikhail Tolmachev), the connection of the material certificate and forensic examination (Hito Steierl, Ail Weizman and Thomas Kinan), the documentation of the court speech and the media-compensation of the court (Rosella Biscotti, Judy Radul), and the Laboratory of the City Laboratory (Laboratory of the City Laboratory) will be shown. The first project of the program will be the exhibition of Mikhail Tolmachev “The Pact of Silence” - an attempt by the artist to deal with the album of photographs of the Solovetsky special purpose camp, presented in the exposition of the Museum of the History of the Gulag .
