
On September 19, the Twitter microblogs service, as previously announced , changed the algorithm for calculating symbols in user publications. The message about the innovation was published in the company microblog .
Now the service does not take into account any media content, including images, videos, GIF files and polls, as well as cited records when calculating the current limit of 140 characters in messages. According to the company, this step should increase the convenience of using Twitter.

As RIA Novosti clarifies, Twitter also said that the service is testing the possibility of refusing symbols in the names of microblogs users when publishing answers to their records.
Recall that at the end of August, Twitter launched a program of advertising deductions for users from the United States, publishing their videos. Under the terms of the program, 70% of the revenue from the advertising show will be listed to the author of the video, while Twitter will receive the remaining 30%.
