The court upheld the fine of a musician for playing the cello

On September 20, the Moscow City Court upheld a fine for Radio Kamerger band member and cellist Semyon Lashkin for playing the cello in Moscow. This was reported by Kasparov.ru with reference to its own correspondent in the courtroom.

During the process, the court refused to satisfy almost all the petitions of the defense: for the interrogation of witnesses, the audio recording of the meeting, and the summoning of the police for questioning. The musician's lawyers announced their intention to appeal to the supervisory authority of the Moscow City Court.

Recall that Semyon Lashkin was detained on the evening of June 20 on Nikolskaya Street after he had finished playing, and was just sitting on a bench. On June 28, he was fined 10,000 rubles on charges of organizing a “simultaneous mass stay” (under Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
