The Moscow City Court refused to cancel the arrests of two defendants in the Bolotnaya case

On September 21, Judge Trofimov of the Moscow City Court refused to overturn the decision of the Basmanny District Court to extend the arrest of Dmitry Buchenkov and Maxim Panfilov. A correspondent for the publication Grani.ru reports this from the courtroom.

The Moscow City Court, in particular, ignored the defense’s arguments that Buchenkov was not on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012, as well as complaints about the deteriorating health of Panfilov, who, while under arrest, does not receive the necessary medications.

On August 29, the courtextended the arrest of Dmitry Buchenkov until December 2, and Panfilov until January 7. At the same time, the investigation period into the clashes on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012 was once again extended until May 6, 2017.
