Burmatov will head the Central Executive Committee of United Russia

The chairman of the United Russia party Dmitry Medvedev proposed the candidacy of Vladimir Burmatov for the post of head of the Central Executive Committee of the party. It is reported by Interfax .

“Today (September 22.- Slon ) at a meeting of the Presidium of the General Council the issue of its appointment will be considered,” the party’s press service said.

The current head of the executive committee Maxim Rudnev will be transferred to the post of deputy head for project work.

Burmatov is now the head of the Interregional Coordinating Council of United Russia, a member of the party general council, and also heads the party center for assessing the effectiveness of federal target programs.

In the elections to the Duma, Burmatov scored 41.68% of the vote in the metallurgical single -mandate district of the Chelyabinsk region.

Burmatov has been a deputy of the Duma since 2011. Initially, he held the post of the first deputy chairman of the Education Committee in the Parliament of the sixth convocation, but after accusations of plagiarism, he was forced to leave this position.
