Two generals changed

The new head of the Moscow police was Major General Oleg Baranov. The decree on his appointment was signed by President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press service reports .

Since August 2012, Baranov served as deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow. Baranov was born on March 16, 1969 in Potsdam, graduated from the Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. He came to the service in the internal affairs bodies in 1989. In different years, he was the head of the operational-search unit, deputy head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate for Moscow.

Another Presidential Presidential Presidential Decree, Lieutenant General of Police Anatoly Yakunin, was appointed head of the operational department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On Friday, Interfax said that Yakunin announced the personnel that he would leave his post in the near future . “On Friday, Yakunin said goodbye to his subordinates and said that he would receive a new appointment in the near future,” said the agency’s interlocutor. “Yakunin would most likely go to the post of chief of operational department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which Vyacheslav Haustov currently occupies.”

Yakunin headed the Moscow police in June 2012 . Before that, he headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Novgorod region.
