The highest and general councils of United Russia approved the candidacy of the first deputy head of the presidential administration Vyacheslav Volodin to the post of speaker of the State Duma of the new convocation. It is reported by RIA "Novosti"

Three more unicorn, Alexander Zhukov, Sergey Neverov and Vladimir Vasiliev, will retain this position, which was already held in the sixth convocation. The latter will remain the head of the Duma faction of unicorn.

According to RBC with reference to sources in the party, the former chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security, Yarovaya will oversee the block of state building, security and counteracting corruption. The TV presenter Tolstoy first elected to the Duma in this convocation will engage in a bloc of civil society, interaction with the media, the Internet and culture.

The unicorn faction will be divided into five deputy groups. They will be headed by Viktor Kidyev, Raisa Karmazin, Nikolai Pankov, Victor Pinsky, Adalbi Shhagoshev. "They selected heavyweights, those who were elected in a single -mandate district, or supervised the regions from the party and dealt with difficult situations in them," a source in the party said.

United Russia will lead half of the committees of the lower house. The second half, on the recommendation of President Vladimir Putin, will go to three other parties in the State Duma. When considering candidates for posts of the heads of committees and their deputies, an audit will be carried out for a conflict of interest. The posts of the heads of committees will be distributed next week.

On Friday, Putin proposed to elect the first deputy head of the presidential administration Volodin to the post of chairman of the State Duma of a new convocation. At the same time, the president added that the appointment of a speaker is the prerogative of deputies. “The question arises of the election of the new chairman of the State Duma. At the United Russia elections, the Constitutional majority of the election on September 18, having gained 54 percent of the votes in party lines and won 90 percent of single -mandate districts. Unicorns had 343 mandates. The turnout of the voters was a record low - it amounted to 47.91 percent. Numerous violations were recorded in the elections. The first meeting of the State Duma of the new convocation is scheduled for October 5.
