Parnassus federal political council refused to exclude the deputy chairman of the party Ilya Yashin, Interfax reports. The members of the political council voted unanimously against this.
“Politzvevet Parnassus voted against my exclusion from the party. Not a single member of the political council supported the proposal of the Udmurt Department, ”said Yashin.
Earlier today, the Council of the Udmurt Regional Branch suggested that the federal political council of Parnas be excluded from the Yashin party because he seeks to "use" the defeat of the party in the elections "for his purely career purposes, trying to intercept the leadership of the party."
Also, the Udmurt branch accused Yashin of the collapse of the democratic coalition. The deputy chairman of Parnas himself in his Facebook called the head of the party Mikhail Kasyanov as the initiator of this appeal.
Later, Yashin said that he would intend to demand Kasyanov’s resignation from the post of chairman of the party. He tied a low percentage that Parnassus received in the State Duma elections with the inclusion of nationalist Vyacheslav Maltsev in her lists.
In the elections to the State Duma, which took place on September 18, 2016, Parnassus received 0.7% of the vote.
