Kommersant announced the appearance of new defendants in the Renova case

The transfer of the materials of the Renova case from the investigative department of the Komi SK to the central apparatus of the UK is explained by the fact that in the near future new defendants may appear in the investigation. About this writes "Kommersant".

The new circumstances, which suggest the presence of accomplices among the defendants in the case, were revealed during the study by investigators of documentation taken as part of the investigation.

The publication notes that according to some reports, the investigation may also arise to Viktor Vekselberg to the Renova owner. Sources close to the company are rejected by such an opportunity, since Vekselberg is not engaged in “surgical activities, especially in subsidiaries or grandchildren.”

On September 23, the official representative of the IC Vladimir Markin reported on the transfer of the Renov case from Syktyvkar to Moscow. He did not voiced the reasons for this.

Now the main defendants in the Renov case are the company director Yevgeny Olkhovik, the general director of T Plus Boris Weinzihar, and the former general director of Vimpelkom Mikhail Slobodin. Olkhovik and Weinzikher are under arrest, and Slobodin, who did not return to Russia from abroad after the start of the case, on the international wanted list.

According to the investigation, the Renov leadership and the T Plus included in it for seven years since 2007 gave the Komi authorities 800 million rubles as bribes for the opportunity to set the most profitable tariffs for themselves and not spend money on modernization of equipment.
