The ex-president of Israeli Shimon Peres died

The former president and prime minister of Israel, the Nobel Prize laureate Shimon Perez died at the age of 93 years, two weeks after the stroke he had moved. It is reported by Haaretz.

On September 13, Perez was taken to a hospital near Tel Aviv. From that moment on, the ex-president was in a state of artificial coma, and was also connected to the apparatus of artificial ventilation of the lungs.

Perez was born in 1923 in the town of Vishnyava in Poland (now the territory of Belarus). In 1934, his family was repatriated to Palestine.

During the 1947 independence war, Perez became an assistant to the General Director of the Israeli Ministry of Defense. Since then, he has occupied almost all the main state posts in Israel. Perez held ministerial posts in 12 offices of Israeli ministers, he headed the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other departments. He worked for two terms as the prime minister. From 2007 to 2014, Perez served as president of the country.

In 1994, Perez, together with Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat, was awarded the Nobel Prize of the World for a role in peace negotiations in Oslo, which laid the foundation for the transmission of the civil power of the Palestinian autonomy.
