The missing Malaysian Boeing-777 was launched from the Buk complex, located six kilometers from the city of Snezhnoye. This conclusion was reached by the International Investigation Group for the investigation of the disaster, the BBC reports .
This territory on July 17, 2014, on the day of the death of the liner, was under the control of the militants of the DPR. Investigators claim that they managed to install a zone with an area of 500 by 600 meters, from where the launch was made. The Russian version about the launch of the Buk air defense system from the Zarashchensky district, which was controlled by Ukrainian government forces, is insolvent, the authors of the report said.
In addition, investigators found that the Buk complex was delivered to Ukraine from Russia. After the liner was shot down, the car was returned to Russia.
According to representatives of the international investigative group, the conclusions of the presented report are based on a large array of evidence. Investigators watched about half a million videos, listened to many intercepted telephone conversations. All the fragments and bodies of the dead were studied. A survey of eyewitnesses and research on the ground was also conducted.
The group excluded all possible versions of the death of Boeing-777. Two scenarios were completely excluded - a technical malfunction or a terrorist attack inside the liner. A version of the air attack was also excluded - there were no other aircraft near the liner.
The chief prosecutor of the Netherlands Fred Westerbeke said that more than 100 people can be involved in the death of the Boeing-777. The investigation period has been extended until 2018. At the same time, it has not yet been established on whose order the crew of Buk acted. Westerbeke emphasized that the group does not conclude about the guilt of specific people or Russia as a state. To talk about which trial this case will go, so far it is too early.
At a press conference in the Netherlands, only the main conclusions of the international investigative group were presented. The report will not be published completely. The document will be attached to the relevant case, which will be obeyed in court or in the tribunal.
In the Russian Foreign Ministry, extremely negatively reacted to the report of the international investigative group. "Russia is disappointed that the situation around the Boeing disaster does not change. The conclusions of the Dutch prosecutor's office confirm that the investigation is biased and politically motivated. To arbitrarily appoint the perpetrator and invent the desired results, it turned into the norm for our Western colleagues. I want to ask: how much? - said the official representative of the department, Maria Zakharov. The called "evidence base" of the Dutch prosecutor's office was provided by the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, which are undoubtedly an interested party. "
The flight from Amsterdam to Kuala-Lumpur Boeing 777 crashed on July 17, 2014 near Donetsk. As a result, all 283 passengers (mainly citizens of the Netherlands) and 15 crew members died.
In October last year, the Safety Council of the Netherlands to investigate the causes and consequences of accidents and disasters presented the final report on the collapse of the Boeing-777. The main conclusion of the investigation - the liner was shot down by the Buk missile model 9N314M. Calculations show that the rocket could be launched from a point located on an area of 320 square kilometers. Yustra emphasized that the tasks of the commission did not include the localization of the launch site.
The purpose of the Council of Security Council of the Netherlands was to clarify the causes of the disaster, and not the definition of the guilty in the death of the aircraft. A criminal investigation of the circumstances of the airline was conducted by an international investigation group with the participation of specialists from Holland, Australia, Belgium, Malaysia and Ukraine.
On Wednesday, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the data of Russian radars prove that the rocket could not be released from the territory of the DPR. "There are irrefutable facts. In this case, it is important to draw conclusions, taking into account the latest information that was published, namely, the primary data of the radar, which recorded all the flying objects that could start or be in the air in the territory controlled by the militias," said Peskov.
On Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense changed its version of the disaster . Andrei Koban, the head of the radio engineering forces of Russian aviation, said that the Utes-T radar complex, located near the working village of Ust-Donetsk, recorded the presence of only two civilian aircraft near Boeing. Meanwhile, on July 21, 2014, the head of the main operational department of the Russian General Staff, Lieutenant General Andrei Kartapolov, stated that the Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft flew after Boeing . The general assured that the flight of the Su-25 would be photographed on the frames of the Rostov CCTV Center.
Also, Kartapolov claimed, data on the air facility were recorded, which barracks over the place of the disaster for about 4 minutes, controlling the situation.
In February, the Bellingcat International Expert-Journalist Group submitted a report to the Netherlands prosecutor’s office, which claims that the military of the Russian 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade from Kursk may be involved in the Boeing disaster. The document contained the data of approximately two dozen military personnel, who allegedly participated in the transportation to Ukraine of the Buk-M1 air defense system, from which Boeing was shot down.
On May 3, Bellingcat reported that she unequivocally set the number of the Russian Bound . On all frames made during the war, the average figure in the three -digit number of Buk was unreadable, but the experts found that the installation number was 332.
In mid -July, Bellingcat said that the Russian Ministry of Defense published falsified satellite images of the Boeing crash area. The group reported that the photo demonstrated by Kartapolov on July 21, 2014 was subjected to significant editing. In particular, the images added to the images anti-aircraft missile systems "Buk" and clouds.
