
The Foundation of the Spanish National Society of the Blind (ONCE) presented a pilot version of a smart home intended for a comfortable residence of people with disabilities. According to the developers, everything necessary for the convenience of disabled people and sedentary elderly people is organized here.
Among the technologies that the residents of the smart home can use, for example, there are carpets with the detection of presence that facilitate people with vision impaired identification and search for nearby objects, a body dryer, an automated cabinet, an adjustable countertop in the kitchen and much more, Spain in Russian reports.
An example of an experimental apartment with an area of 100 square meters is located in a trailer, which is now in Madrid at Plaza Isabel II. There he will be until Friday, September 30, inclusive. It can be visited by everyone from 10:30 to 20:30.
At the presentation of the project, Spanish Minister of Employment and Social Support of Fatima Baganes said that by the end of the year the pilot version of the smart house will perform a demonstration tour of fourteen cities of the country, including Valencia, Barcelona, Bilbao and others, Telemadrid.es reports.
