Google began to comply with FAS

Google launched a newsletter for Android users with information about changing the device settings and installing third -party applications. This was reported by vc.ru.

Notifications also contain instructions on how to deactivate the pre -installed Google applications, change the standard search engine in Google Chrome, establish another search widget and change the position of the icons.

According to vc.ru, these requirements were contained in the order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of the Russian Federation, which recognized Google by the violator of the competition on the complaint of Yandex.

The Google did not report whether the advanced sending out of the fulfillment of all the requirements of the FAS is indicated.

Earlier, the FAS said that it would be fined by Google for non -fulfillment of the order every two weeks until the company eliminates violations. The service, at the request of its head Igor Artemyev, will conduct an appropriate administrative investigation.

Also in September, the FAS refused to give the American company more time to fulfill a decision in antimonopoly business.

The FAS on the complaint of "Yandex" found Google guilty of abuse of a monopoly position in the application market for devices with Android OS in the fall of 2015. The American company challenged this decision in the first and second instances and lost the case both times. In August 2016, the FAS fined Google 438 million rubles.
