The arrests were carried out by officers of the police department for the Sovetsky district of Makhachkala and the CPE of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan. One of the detainees said that the police stopped cars with drivers and passengers who allegedly visited Tangim - they instructed them to park the car on the side of the road and demanded to go to the police bus. Pedestrians were also stopped. After about 50 people got on the bus, they were all taken to the police department for the Soviet district of Makhachkala.
The police officers did not introduce themselves, did not show their official IDs, did not explain the reasons for the stop and the purpose of bringing them to the department. In the police department, those who have been delivered are being put on preventive records as "religious extremists" - without drawing up protocols.
