The government decided not to index maternity capital in 2017

The head of the Ministry of Labor Maxim Topilin said that in 2017, maternity capital will not be indexed and this decision is final, the Prime Agency reports.

On September 30, the head of the Russian Pension Fund (FIU) Anton Drozdov said that the decision to index the uterus of capital will be made in October. In turn, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets reported that this issue is the only one in which there are disagreements in the government. She argued that the programs for supporting young families with children should be developed.

Maxim Topilin in the fall of 2015 proposed to additionally encourage women under 30 years old who gave birth to two children. However, in 2016, maternity capital was not indexed and at present it is about 453 thousand rubles.

On June 23, 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree increasing the amount of permitted one -time payment from maternity capital funds to 25 thousand rubles.
