The head of the Ministry of Labor announced the rejection of the indexation of maternity capital

Maternity capital in 2017 will not be indexed. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Labor Maxim Topilin, Prime reports.

The minister added that this is the final decision. Earlier on September 30, the head of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation Anton Drozdov said that the issue of indexation of the uterus is still discussed, and the decision will be made in October.

Prior to this, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets stated that the increase in the uterus of capital is the only issue on which the government cannot agree. In mid -September, she noted that proposals are being prepared in the government’s social block to index the capital.

Golodets indicated that the authorities should develop programs for supporting young Russian families with children. At the beginning of September, Topilin himself proposed introducing additional measures that stimulate the birth rate, in particular, to encourage women who gave birth to two children up to 30 years.

The maternal capital program has been operating in the Russian Federation since 2007. All Russian families receive the right to special payment, after the birth or adoption of the second or subsequent child. In 2016, uterus was not indexed - its value is about 453 thousand rubles.
