On large and not very large Russian roads in many places, you can now see unified brown (international-marker of attractions) indicators, informing about the proximity of various interesting places. Here, for example, the “Museum-Reserve Museum of Leninsky” on the Kashirskoye Highway is as many as two times so that they don’t miss where these same slides named after the demoniac leader, the practice and theorist of the Red Hell.
On the opposite side of Moscow, not far from Tver, on the federal highway M-10 today, for example, you can find a beautiful brown sign "Museum-Estate Vasilevo". Indeed, the place is interesting, as they say, prayed, with hundred-year-old oaks and linden, bordering the path to the running cascade of ponds and the famous stone bridge of the 18th century, the work of architect Lviv, who in the estate lived for joy to everyone.
And nearby, at all, closer to Tver there is a congress on the road of a district scale, which leads to the city of Likhoslavl, along the way passing through a pretty settlement of a copper, which was freely spread along the both banks of the Tverts River. And the blue pointer at the congress from the main road is there - copper. And all. And earlier there was another sign of the Memorial Complex Copper, but several years ago it was removed from the federal highway. Out of sight. And then, God forbid, the chief chief from the Kremlin for a historical homeland in St. Petersburg will pass, will see such a pointer and be saddened. Why spoil the mood of a good person? After all, this boss to power of the year is twenty -five early, in general, there would never have any indicator about the memorial complex at all, like the complex itself, possibly ...
After all, there is Katyn, and enough on this topic, like. Well, they did not keep track, did not drown the ends in the sand in Katyn. Evil fascists excavated the burial of more than four thousand people in 1943, weakened the whole world, and a little with them on the bench did not put the defendants in Nuremberg. But then the allies gave Slabin. They blinked the matter. Yes, and the advice was not able to lie as an example of Rush TV with their nonsense about crucified boys. Like, the Nazis shot them, and the end of the fairy tale. Bullets in the heads of German.
So this myth would have existed before oblivion in Putin’s times, if the conscientious Gorbachev suffering from late Nonkomunistic repentance and tormented by the chronic democratic hangover Yeltsin did not reveal the archives and the terrible Stalinist crime and crime against humanity, namely the brutal murder of a little less than twenty -two thousand Polish army and police officers, as well as also Different levels of municipal administrators, who surrendered to the Red Army without a fight or were arrested by the NKVD at the Poland occupied by the Councils in 1939 (the second half in accordance with the secret protocols to the Molotov-Ribbentrop was pulled by Hitler Germany).
More than 4421 of those 21857 martyrs were killed and buried in Katyn. Where are the rest? More than six thousand three hundred were buried in that very copper. Several thousands were shot in prisons of Western Ukraine and Belarus, and the location of those burials has not yet been established.
Pistols at the shooting team were hot and wedges, and they all killed and killed
So it turns out that the largest "cemetery" destroyed by Stalin of the Polish military elite is in the copper. Later, the Poles established a huge memorial wall of crying from copper with the name of each victim knocked out on it in a quiet pine forest. And around the steles created, as on an army parade ground, a square of copper plates with the name, date of birth and the year of death of each of the white sand lying here under a thick layer of white sand. All of them are men of different ages, but they have one year of death - 1940. They shot them, whom in April, whom in May of that year. Almost a month and a half were shot. From one hundred to four hundred people a day. Pistols at the shooting team were hot and wedges, and they all killed and killed. The death conveyor worked without interruptions.
All six thousand three hundred and eleven captives were kept in the former and current monastery (Nilova deserts) on the shore of the picturesque lake Seliger. There were prisoners of cold dying autumn, winter and spring. And then they began to "send home." In batches of 100-400 people a day. The rest rejoiced for their comrades, wrote and handed the letters to the relatives, every day everyone with great enthusiasm was waiting for their own stage to their homeland.
The journey of each of these parties ended in the damp basements of the Tver department of the NKVD, where each of the travelers received a bullet in the back of the head. At night of the same day, the body on trucks covered with tarpaulin was transported to the summer village of NKVD employees next to the Copper, where deep holes were already prepared in the forest to receive bodies. By morning, the burial was completed. The graves could have a rest for several hours before the next night shift. And so every day. Without weekends.
When the secret was revealed, the Poles, together with Russian law enforcement officers, began to dig out their bodies in 1991 and identify them one at a time. On almost all bodies, clothes and shoes and even personal documents and letters have been preserved. Medical experts present at excavations ultimately decided to stop the process, since thanks to the properties of the dry sand gravest, the remains, despite the past years, did not decompose completely and posed a serious danger to the health of excavation participants.
The Polish side then decided to stop the decision of the excavation, the discovered bodies are discovered again to bury in the same place and, with the permission of the Russian authorities, turn the mass burial into a memorial cemetery, which was done. In addition to a giant wall with a bell and a huge square of grave slabs bordering the territory on the site of each funeral pit, among the mast pines were copper Catholic crosses high from these pines.
On the site of this mourning, silence is always the most sonorous of those that happen in nature, ringing in the ears, as if a groan of thousands of victims of the Stalinist genocide buried in the sand.
Each time on the way home from my annual August trip to relax to Finland, I stop for an hour in these places, listen to the silence of pines, crosses and grass, bells and a copper wall ... And once over twenty years I have not met a single visitor there. As if you get into a secret crack in time. And, yes, on a small road to the Likhoslavl, on the opposite side of the turn to the cemetery, there is still a plain gray pointer "Memorial Complex Copper", with a modest, lost against a general background, faded arrow below. Modestly so. Almost almost. And five hundred meters before the entrance to the cemetery, the road generally blocks the Iron barrier with the sign "Brick". Further on foot. Without a pointer ...
This nightmarish crime remained without a sentence and punishment
If it is impossible to hide the atrocity left without the sentence of the international tribunal, without punishment, then you can shut up him, forget about him, not to remind. As if it were not. After all, there is no pointer. So, there is nowhere to go. Poles (relatives and officials) know the road and come sometimes, once a year. Why should Russians know about this? Why pull them unable to get stronger consciousness? Suddenly, however, it will miraculously awaken, and they will stop choosing from year to year of the Communists, Encavedeshniks and Black Hundreds ... and vote for the war. And then?
This is a nightmare crime, a massacre, like thousands of other such atrocities and massacres of the communist regime, remained without a sentence and punishment, without our own Russian Nuremberg process.
But the Soviet Union almost ran into trouble, when its representative in Nuremberg proposed to include Katynsky execution in the list of Germans's atrocities. But the evidence turned out to be puffed. And they forgot about the case until 1951, when the US Congress Commission conducted its investigation and accused the Soviet side. In principle, from the very beginning, all Western allies knew who shot Polish officers, but they were silent.
Then the Cold War began and it was not up to the Poles. And if the real international tribunal in this case was on time, you look, and there would be no wars in Chechnya, in Karabakh, in Transnistria, in Georgia, in Ukraine. There would be dozens of murders of journalists and politicians, explosions of houses, terrorist acts, elections, quarrels with the whole world, sanctions, shame and world fear and contempt ... or would it still be? Anyway, Russia's fate is like that? Your special Russian path?
And in any case, the pointer on the M-10 highway would not hurt to put. Or no longer sense? After all that they survived ... and before all that still remains to be survived ...
So, we drove with copper and Katyny. But with Buk in Snezhnoy, he will also be “lucky” to them? This week, international investigators finally established a pointer to the new Nuremberg process. Will we go to the brick?
