In Taganrog, by decision of the city court, a resident of the city, Igor Gaivoronsky, was found guilty of an administrative offense under Part 1 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, writes "Ruff". He was fined 10 thousand rubles.

The court considered the public Hare Krishna event organized by citizen Gaivoronsky on June 22, 2016 as “carrying a significant threat to protected public interests”.

On the anniversary of the German attack on the USSR, June 22, 2016, Hare Krishnas from Taganrog, Bataysk, Novocherkassk and other cities of the Rostov region staged an action in the city in front of the monument to Peter I, singing mantras, dancing and selling religious literature. It was announced that it was "an event to promote a healthy lifestyle based on spiritual values."
