The Novozybkovsky City Court fined the head of the Novozybkov city administration, Bryansk Region, Alexander Chebykin, 30 thousand rubles under Article 5.38 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for the obstruction of the rally, writes Bryanskaya Street.
In January 2016, residents of Novozybkov wanted to hold a rally on the central square of the city against the abolition of the Chernobyl benefits. However, the city administration did not agree on the event.
At first, officials said that they did not receive notifications from the organizers of the protest campaign, and then a document was found in the media, in which the dismantling of the New Year spruce planned for January 16 was indicated as the reason for the cancellation of the rally. The organizers were not proposed for the other place and time for the rally.
An administrative case was sent to the city court after the prosecutor’s audit.
