Chulpan Khamatova became Volchek’s deputy at Sovremennik
The artistic director of the Sovremennik Theater Galina Volchek appointed actress Chulpan Khamatova as her deputy. Khamatova became deputy for general issues - she will oversee the financial and economic side of the theater's life.
According to Volchek, the actress will also oversee the renovation at Sovremennik. The renovation of the main theater building at Chistye Prudy began in mid-September 2016. The Moscow Department of Culture promises to finish it in December 2017.
“She already has experience working in her foundation: she knows what construction is, numbers that I don’t understand anything about. So I want her to take on that part of the job. Now we, at Chistye Prudy, are starting repairs.
