Six relatives of missing Dagestanis detained in Makhachkala

The police detained in Makhachkala six relatives of the Dagestanis who disappeared on September 27 and took the detainees to the Soviet district police department. This was reported on October 6 by the "Caucasian Knot".

Relatives of the disappeared Gashim Uzdanov, Pakhrudin Makhaev, Islam Magomedov and Shamil Dzhamalutdinov gathered on the central square of Makhachkala and tried to break through to the building of the government of Dagestan. Deputy Prime Minister Ramazan Jafarov came out to the protesters and asked to give him time until 16.00 to find the missing.

“At 16.00 Ramazan Jafarov came out to us. He said that all our applications to law enforcement agencies were registered, operational-search activities are underway to search for our relatives. He also stated that there are no missing Dagestanis in any of the pre-trial detention centers on the territory of Dagestan, ”says Madina Islamova. According to her, the protesters had already begun to disperse, but the police began to detain people.

“At about 5:30 pm, the police detained my father-in-law and two of our guys. Three women, relatives of the missing, began to resent and demand the release of the men. As a result, they, too, were arrested. Thus, a total of three men and three women were detained. Among the detainees are my husband's parents,” said Madina Islamova. The detainees, according to her information, were taken to the police department of the Sovetsky district of Makhachkala. Police say relatives of the missing residents of Dagestan are "detained for creating mass disturbances," Islamova said.

The day before, in Makhachkala, relatives of the missing also held a rally - the police dispersed it .
