The head of Rosmolodezh was fired

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has decided to dismiss the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Sergei Pospelov. The decision was made in connection with Pospelov's transfer to another job.

What position he will now hold is not reported.

Earlier, RBC, citing anonymous sources, reported that Pospelov would become deputy chief of staff of the parliament, and his deputy Alexei Palamarchuk would become head of Rosmolodezh. There has been no official confirmation of this information.

• Sergey Pospelov has been in charge of Rosmolodezh since March 2014. He is called a person close to the former deputy head of the presidential administration, Vyacheslav Volodin, who now holds the post of speaker of the State Duma.
