Lawkoster "Victory" lost the next appeal, but wants to continue to take a fee for backpacks

The Victory Airline was not embarrassed by the loss already in the second court in a dispute with Rostransnadzor about the rules for free baggage. The carrier is not going to refuse to charge a fee for backpacks, the newspaper Vedomosti writes.

Recall that this week the ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal confirmed the decision of the arbitration of the first instance and refused the budget "victory", which is the 100 percent "daughter" "Aeroflot", in the abolition of the Rostransnadzor order.

At the beginning of the year, Rostransnadzor conducted a check after complaints of a member of the Public Chamber Dmitry Chugunov and the deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee of Alena Arshinova and came to the conclusion that the “victory” violates the federal aircraft rules for the transport for the transport of female backpacks in the cabin. The department ordered the carrier to eliminate violations.

Now Russian airlines are obliged, according to the rules, to transport up to 10 kg of baggage in a salon or luggage compartment, as well as some types of hand luggage in the cabin. In the permitted list of 18 items, the "ladies' handbag" appears.

According to Rostransnadzor, the female backpack is a type of handbag and should be transported free of charge, arbitration courts agreed with this.

“Victory” is preparing the next cassation appeal and, despite the fact that the decision of the appeal instance enters into force after the adoption, is not going to take backpacks for free transportation and raise tariffs.

The inclusion of backpacks in the list of free things will force Lawkoster to double the minimum tariff (now - 999 rubles taking into account fees) and increase the remaining tariffs by at least 1000 rubles (average - 3000 rubles). The low -cost airline insists that in his order, Rostransnadzor demanded to “bring activities in accordance with the law”, and the direct requirement “include backpacks in the list of personal things transported in the cabin without surcharge”.
