An activist was detained near the presidential administration with a poster in memory of Anna Politkovskaya

On October 7, Moscow activist Viktor Kapitonov was detained outside the presidential administration building during a picket on the tenth anniversary of the murder of journalist Anna Politkovskaya. According to Sapronova, a large number of police officers were on duty near the police administration. As soon as Kapitonov got up with a poster at the door, the police approached him, read what was written on the poster, then demanded documents, and when the activist said that he did not have any documents, he was taken to a paddy wagon, which was standing around the corner. On the way to the paddy wagon, Kapitonov fell down and shouted that his arm had been broken. At the time of writing, there is no contact with the detainee and his condition is unknown.
