Putin fired Markin from SK

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the dismissal of the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Vladimir Markin. The document is published on the official portal of legal information.

There is no decree on the appointment of someone to the post of official representative of the IC of the Russian Federation yet. Markin filed a report on the resignation on September 21. In an interview with Interfax from the answer to the question of a new place of work, he dodged: “It will be the same open, professional, systemic, such as it has been all these 9 years.”

Earlier it was reported that from SK Markin can go to the post of deputy general director of RusHydro for public relations and state authorities. In a conversation with TASS, Markin confirmed that he would take the post of first deputy general director at the company.

The source of Interfax clarified that Markin will be released next week to work at RusHydro.

Markin's resignation data appeared in the media since September 14. On the same day, RBC announced the resignation of the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin. At the end of September, information appeared that Bastrykin submitted a dismissal report.

Markin headed the Office of interaction with the media of the IC since 2011, when the department became independent. In the Investigative Committee under the prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation, which existed until 2011, Markin held a similar position since the creation of the structure in 2007.
