The Ministry of Culture launches a section on its official website with the catalog of patriotic music. This was reported by TASS with reference to the deputy director of the main information and computing center of the department Timur Aleinikov.
"On the website of the Ministry of Culture in the" Open Data "section, a catalog will be published in which you can look for musical works about the homeland, about the people of the country. We prepared this together with the Tikhon Khrennikov Foundation, conducted an analysis of the primary sources, collected information," Aleinikov said. According to him, now the register has 8 thousand records.
In addition, in the future, in addition to the catalog, the special project "Music about the Motherland" will be implemented. "Now the culture.rf portal is underway on a special project under which audio recordings will be posted. We agreed with the copyright holders, received the right to publish the compositions," said the deputy director of the HBC.
The value of the catalog is that he will introduce the works, their authors and performers forgotten "for historical reasons", said Andrey Kokarev, president of the Tikhon Khrennikov Foundation. “We had two waves of oblivion - in 1917 and in 1991. That is, the music, which was considered the patriotic before the revolution, was naturally performed after it. In the latest era, the same thing happened with Soviet music, recognized by a sung of the totalitarian regime,” Kokarev explained. He noted that, despite the ideology, "many works were written sincerely."
The press service of the Ministry of Culture reported on the work on creating a register back in August last year . Then it was assumed that the electronic catalog would appear on the Internet until the end of November 2015.
Using the register of patriotic music, it was planned to promote the “promotion of domestic and Russian musical art on a global scale”, to increase the “cultural and educational level of the population” and contribute to the “preservation of the musical and historical heritage of Russia”. The Ministry of Culture believes that the catalog will help teachers prepare for thematic classes, class hours and extracurricular activities. In addition, the resource will be able to use everyone who wants to listen to the songs and music of a patriotic orientation.
