Hurricane Matthew weakens to minimal category

Hurricane Matthew weakened to Category 1 on the Saffir-Simpson scale. Now the speed of wind gusts is 135 kilometers per hour, the hurricane is moving in a northeast direction, reports Reuters.

The hurricane resulted in the death of 877 Haitians. The number of victims increased significantly after information began to flow from areas of the country left without communication after the disaster.

After that, the hurricane reached the United States. Four people died in Florida due to the elements. In Georgia and South Carolina, 450,000 people were left without electricity.
