The Russian government lifted the ban on the import of Turkish fruits. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin after talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Today, the Russian government has decided to allow a whole group of Turkish goods on the Russian market, these are the so-called stone fruit and citrus products,” Putin said.

When the government's decision will come into force, the president did not specify.

“This decision is mutually beneficial, Russian agriculture does not produce such products. And the entry of Turkish products to the market can lead, and we count on it, to lower prices in the domestic market,” he said.
