"The educational combat part of the rocket with a given accuracy was struck by the conditional target at the training ground on the Kamchatka Peninsula," the Ministry of Defense noted. The purpose of this launch is to confirm the extended operating time of the ICBM of this type.

Finally, the Novomoskovsk northern Fleet’s strategic missile cruiser successfully completed the launch of the Sineva intercontinental ballistic missile from the Barents Sea of ​​Kura in Kamchatka. Shooting was also conducted from underwater position.

The intercontinental ballistic rocket of the R-30 Bulava as part of the D-30 missile system should be the main weapons of missile underwater cruisers of the Strategic Project 955 "Borea".
