"Gromyk." "Acrobatenka"

For the debut album “Gromyk” published in March, they deservedly recorded in the musical discoveries of this year. In hot pursuit, the original group, who performs under the portrait of a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU, releases a second record called “Acrobatenka”, which included “Paustovsky, Bianchi and Prishvin”, “Vodokanal” and other songs already familiar and loved by fans of the concert group. After listening to Akrobatenka, we joined the “thunder” in electronic correspondence.

- “Gromyka” releases a second album in a year - this is a very high effectiveness. Explain how you do it. Do you write songs very quickly? Do you have your own studio?

- High performance, rather, has the Union Music label that produces our albums. The songs, some of which made up the first album of the Thunder, were recorded before the group had a name, eyebrows and stylophone. The second album (Akrobatenka) was composed and recorded when Gromyk has already performed (2015-2016), so his way out is now quite logical. These two albums today make up the concert program "Gromyki". Songs appear as a result of joint improvisations, during which the singer and author of the words M.V. Koshelev finds key phrases that later grow into texts. And yes - we have a “thunder studio” where all this is happening.

-“Gromyk” I would like to call the heirs of the smart Russian rock of the 1980s-namely, groups “Center”, “Sounds MU”, “Avia”. Do you agree with this? Do you want to be their heirs and what exactly are you inherited?

- The epithet “smart” already implies a certain independence of thinking. These are worthy groups, but in order to find out what we are inherited, we need to get acquainted with their will.

- How do you feel about what is happening in Russian rock? Are there any groups and musicians that you like?

- I would not want to intervene in what is happening in Russian rock. We really like all groups and all musicians, let them be even more.

-You were once protected by Yuri Shevchuk-Did you have any connection with him? Did you show him your new songs?

-At first, "Yuri Shevchuk once prostheted you." The question relates to the events of twenty years ago and the group, whose participants we were then. We saw Y. Shevchuk once from afar at the stadium and once in the studio window during the recording of the album, which was offered to us by the organization “TOO DDT Theater”. Nobody was engaged in the protrusion of the group or the promotion of the album. We do not show our new songs to anyone.

- From the side it seems that the creative credo of the group is more delirium and absurdity. Why multiply it - is it not enough in our daily life?

-We are singing about what really excites people today-about a spear throwing, about Paustovsky, Bianchi and Prishvin, about diesel, after all. People need a truth of life. They find her in the songs of the "thunder."

- After the performance at Tallinn Music Week, the group began to represent Russia at international festivals. What do you think foreigners from your songs read? What Russia do you imagine?

- These are not the Olympic Games to represent the country. We present our music, which should compete with the fact that these people play in players without amendments to an international situation.

People need a truth of life. They find her in the songs of the "thunder."

- Tell us about Stylophone 350S , which gives the “thunder” a unique sound. This is a rare tool. Where and how did they get it? How long did you master? How to repair it - probably this is the most problematic?

- Indeed, at the concerts of Gromyki and in the new album Akrobatenka sounds a single -lump electric -language tool Stylophone 350 S. It was made in England in the mid-1970s, and little is known about it. According to the official legend of Dü Breq , he was a relative of the original stylophone - a popular toy from David Bowie's repertoire. For some reason, he was invented 40 years before the appearance of the “thunder”. During this time, those few specimens that were released began to make self -destroying (it is interesting that after stopping the production of Stylophone 350S , Dü Breq began to produce playing cards to demonstrate tricks). Outwardly the indestructible Stylophone 350 S looks like a cross between a transistor radio receiver and a mailbox. According to the principle of action, this is possibly an electricorgan, but instead of the keyboard it has a contact panel made of shiny metal, where sounds are extracted with two special electric pencils, while the game technique resembles drawing or writing. In addition, the Stylophone 350S is equipped with a module, with which the operator can control the directed photon stream and create unusual sound effects. Since the birthplace of stylophones is England, there we got it. There was no time to master time - I had to play right away. We repair as a transistor radio or mailbox, well, do not forget to change the batteries.

- When will the third album “Gromyk” be released? According to rumors, you have a joint project with Cassiopeia - tell us about it.

- Before the third album, Gromyk in Germany will be released a vinyl record, which will include songs from the first two albums plus two previously unrelated tracks, one of which will remain only on Vinyl, and the other, in all likelihood, will be included in the third album.

As for the Cassiopeia group - they suggested that we record and release a joint single, where they would sing our song, and we - them. We liked the idea, and for this business, joint performances in Moscow, Minsk, Peter and Petrozavodsk are already planned for the winter.

Concert presentations of Akrobatenki will be held on October 21 in Tsokole (St. Petersburg) and on October 22 in Ryumnaya Zyuzino (Moscow).
