Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Akhtem Chiygoz left in custody

On October 13, the Supreme Court of Crimea left under arrest the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Akhtem Chiygoz, who had previously been arrested until January 8, 2017. Lawyer Nikolai Polozov wrote about this on Twitter.

According to the lawyer, immediately after that, the hearing on the main case continued. Akhtem Chiygoz - Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, he would have been detained on January 29, 2015 on suspicion of organizing mass riots in the framework of a case initiated in connection with the clashes in Simferopol on February 26, 2014.
