The head of the Open Government, Mikhail Abyzov, explained that the working group has not yet considered the petition for the Yarovaya package due to a change in its composition. As the minister noted, a message about this appeared on the website of the Open Government on October 6.

The press service of the department said that there were several deputies in the working group who did not get into the new convocation of the State Duma.

“We appreciate the attention that colleagues from FBK pay to the work of authorities with civil initiatives - this is the right direction for joint work. At the same time, I would like to recommend to colleagues from FBK to closely follow the messages on this topic so as not to waste time and resources on unconstructive claims,” Abyzov said.

The petition demanding the abolition of the Yarovaya package has collected more than 100,000 signatures on the website of the Russian Public Initiative, so it should be considered by the Open Government working group. According to the regulations, two months are allotted for this. Signatures were collected in August. On October 14, lawyers from the Anti-Corruption Foundation filed a lawsuit due to the fact that the petition had not yet been considered.
The Spring Package tightens a number of Russian laws. Among other things, he obliges to strengthen surveillance of Russians on the Internet, and also reduces the age of responsibility for some articles to 14 years.
