Google smartwatch could be introduced early next year

A blogger named Evan Blass, who specializes in publishing leaks about various gadgets, reported on his microblog on Twitter that two models of Google smartwatches, rumors about the development of which appeared in July, will be presented in the first quarter of next year.

Let us remind you that we are talking about devices codenamed Angelfish and Swordfish. It's currently unclear whether Google is working on the watch on its own or with a partner company. At the same time, the code names of the devices make them similar to the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones presented by Google in early October. These devices, produced by HTC, were called Sailfish and Marlin at the development stage.

According to available data, both watch models will receive support for the Google Assistant voice assistant and round touch displays. In this case, the Angelfish device will externally resemble the LG Watch Urbane 2 and Moto 360. The thickness of the watch will be 14 mm, and the diameter will be 43.5 mm. Also, the Angelfish model will support LTE networks and will receive a GPS model and a heart rate sensor. In addition, there will be three physical buttons on the watch body.

In turn, the Swordfish watch will be more compact and simpler: its thickness will be 10.6 mm and its diameter will be 42 mm. Externally, this watch will resemble the Pebble Time Round model (except for the massive bezel) and will have one physical button. It is also assumed that the Swordfish model, unlike the Angelfish, will receive support for interchangeable straps.
