The American drone held a reconnaissance flight near Crimea, Interfax reports with reference to the data tracking data. Also, the device flew over the territory of Ukraine, gaining the possibility of reconnaissance over Donbass.

The flight was made by the U.S. Air Force RQ-4 Global Hawk, approaching Crimea from the Black Sea and the territory of Ukraine. The device flew out of the Sigonella air base in Sicily. The flight took place at high altitude. At first, the UAV flew to the Crimea from the west from the Black Sea at an altitude of 15.5 thousand meters, and then, entering the airspace of Ukraine off the coast of the Nikolaev region, continued to fly east of Kherson to Melitopol, carrying out reconnaissance north of the peninsula.

Interfax indicates that, taking into account the possibilities of intelligence to a depth of 300 km, the RQ-4 Global Hawk drone could also observe the Donbass from the Melitopol region. According to reports, being 15 km north of Melitopol, it approached 217 km to the demarcation line near Donetsk.

On the way back, the American UAV flew over the Kirovograd and Vinnitsa regions of Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.

According to open sources, the device can patrol for 30 hours, being at an altitude of 15-18 thousand meters.

In the past few weeks, the intensity of the flights of American intelligence aircraft near Russian borders, in particular, near the coast of Crimea, as well as Russian bases in Syria and areas of deployment of combat ships of the Russian Navy in the Eastern Mediterranean, has increased. Almost daily are fixed to two or more such flights.
