The investigation into the Bolotnaya case defendant Maxim Panfilov has been completed, and now his lawyers are getting acquainted with the materials of the case, which was separated into a separate proceeding. The Caucasian Knot reports this with reference to lawyer Sergei Panchenko.
The Basmanny District Court extended Panfilov’s arrest until January 7, 2017. In October, after a psychiatric examination at the Serbsky Center, Maxim Panfilov was declared insane.
Maxim Panfilov was detained on April 7, 2016, almost three years after the events on Bolotnaya Square. At the end of August, Panfilov returned to the pre-trial detention center after undergoing a psychiatric examination, the results of which became known only today. The Moscow City Courtextended the arrest of Maxim Panfilov until January 7, 2017, despite his illness.
