
President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the resignation of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Vladimir Nazarov. The document is published on the official portal of legal information.
The reason for the resignation is not indicated, there are also no documents on Nazarov’s transfer to another position. At the time of dismissal, Nazarov is 66 years old.
Nazarov has worked in this post since 2006, a year earlier he was introduced into the Security Council as an assistant secretary. He was also in the scientific council under the Council of People's Commissars.
Nazarov’s biography states that he, from 1973 to 2004, worked “in various positions in the First Main Directorate of the KGB of the USSR - the SVR of Russia”, including in the central apparatus and abroad. He has several state awards, as well as the thanks of the president.
Security Council is an advisory authority under the President, which prepares measures to ensure vital interests.
