Bank Peresvet promises to soon lift restrictions on issuing cash to individuals, told the press service of the credit institution TASS. The bank is in complete control of the situation, it has no problems with liquidity and Peresvet calls on all clients to calm down, a bank representative said. It was necessary to introduce restrictions on the issuance of funds due to “the appearance of false information in a number of media outlets and increased demand from clients.”

On October 18, it became known that Peresvet limited the issuance of deposits to an amount of 100,000 rubles. or $1500. “Due to the rush, we cannot satisfy all requests,” an employee of the bank’s call center told Interfax. According to her, the restriction may be lifted next week.

Last Friday, the Dozhd TV channel talked about the disappearance of the chairman of the board of the Peresvet bank, Alexander Shvets, after which the bank’s press service reported that Shvets was undergoing treatment, and the duties of the chairman of the board were temporarily performed by Vice President Pavel Panasenko.

The press service also indicated that there is no connection between Shvets’s temporary absence and the previously published report by the Fitch rating agency.

On October 4, Fitch confirmed the bank's rating at B+, but indicated that loans of 12 billion rubles.
