The court commuted the punishment of a protest participant in Beslan

The Supreme Court of North Ossetia replaced Svetlana Margieva, a participant in a protest rally in a Beslan school, with a fine of five thousand rubles. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".

The court partially satisfied Margieva’s complaint, reclassifying the actions she allegedly committed from part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organization of a public event without filing a notification) to part 5 of the same article (violation by a participant in a public event of the procedure for holding it). In connection with this circumstance, the court replaced Margieva with twenty hours of corrective labor for a fine below the minimum established by the article, five thousand rubles.

According to Margieva, she counted on the complete abolition of the punishment and intends to appeal this decision as well.

In early October, the Voice of Beslan participants were summoned for interrogation to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

On September 1, in Beslan, during a memorial service in memory of those killed during the terrorist attack in September 2004, relatives of those killed in the terrorist attack, members of the Mothers of Beslan organization - Ella Kesaeva, Emma Betrozova, Zhanna Tsirikhova , Svetlana Margieva and Emilia Bzarova, as well as journalists.
