In the Central Military District, a field uniform for military priests was developed. As TASS reports , the head of the department for work with believers of the Central Department Store, Igor Agafonov, announced this. According to him, distinctive emblems and stripes were presented the day before as part of the congress of military clergy.

Agafonov noted that "to constantly walk in the cassock is inconvenient for military service." The new form, he added, is very convenient for the work of priests during field outputs, exercises, trips to the landfill and shooting.

“This is the usual uniform of a soldier who differs in stripes and emblems: in the place where loop loops should be located, there is an Orthodox cross, and where the surname and initials of the soldier should be written, the church rank and name are embroidered,” said Agafonov.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, another mandatory attribute of a military priest is a cross on the neck over the form. “There are no military units in the Central Military District where a regular assistant Muslim would be appointed because the number of Orthodox troops prevails. So far, the form has been developed only in the CVO, but we hope that gradually other districts will use our option,” he added.
