The Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Northern District of California published an indictment in the case of the 29-year-old Muscovite Yevgeny Nikulin, arrested in the Czech Republic of Interpol. It is reported by the BBC.

Nikulin is accused of hacking in 2012 by LinkedIn and FormSpring social networks and Dropbox cloud storage storage. The hacker, according to the California prosecutor’s office, who used the nicknames of Chinabig01, DEX.007, Valery.krutov3 and ITBLACKHAT, is also accused of spoiling computers that have been owned by the employees of the injured companies, the embezzlement of personal data and the criminal conspiracy. Theoretically, the Russians threaten up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to a million dollars.

On October 19, the Czech police reported that a Russian citizen was detained in Prague , suspected of committing hacker attacks on targets located in the United States. The name of the detainee was not called then. The detention became possible after receiving the "red order" of Interpol. The country's authorities decide on the extradition of a suspect in the United States.

Russian, the police clarify, lived in a hotel in the center of Prague, and moved around the city in an expensive car with his friend. The Russian one did not expect the appearance of the police at the hotel. During the detention, he did not resist and lost consciousness. As a result, he had to first provide medical assistance, and then hospitalize.

Reuters later reported that the Russian was suspected that in 2012 he hacked the LinkedIn social network, compromising the data of about 100 million accounts, which is why users were forced to replace passwords. According to the social network administration, all these years LinkedIn actively contributed to the FBI in the investigation of the case.

On October 20, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova said that Russia was doing everything to prevent extradction in the USA detained in Prague Nikulin. “The Russian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Embassy in Prague are actively working with the Czech authorities in order to prevent the extradition of a Russian citizen in the United States,” she said. “The corresponding demarche through diplomatic channels was undertaken. The necessary consular and legal assistance to the Russian citizen is also provided to him, he was granted a lawyer.”
