The Ministry of Culture of Chechnya will create special working groups that will monitor the observance of national traditions at weddings, TASS reports .
According to a ministry representative, members of the working group will attend weddings. “If they notice any form of clothing that does not correspond to our mentality or inappropriate movements in dance, they will stop it,” the Ministry of Culture noted.
Previously acting The Minister of Culture of Chechnya, Khozh-Baudi Daaev, held a meeting with the working group of the Department of Culture of Grozny, dedicated to traditional wedding events. During the meeting, he noted that these groups had “informed” the population about the procedures for holding traditional events, but “inappropriate dress and inappropriate performance of the national dance are still common at weddings.”
The department sent out a “set of rules” to restaurants in the city, which states that shooting, drunkenness, bridal dancing, and the exchange of partners during dances are prohibited at weddings.
